HIGHS AND LOWS

I know. Another night of no cooking. It's a shame. But last night we had no choice. I had some stuff after work and then we needed to hit the Bowery Ballroom for the Rogue Wave show.

Because we were short on time and Lil' Frankies was packed, we figured we'd hit our old pal Jeeb for some quick Thai.

Sorry to report friends, but our old LES favorite is slipping. Quickly. The service was the same (not THAT hot) and the look and feel is just ... falling apart. It was so cute there back in the day. I'm not sure what happened. When we first went about 2.5 years ago, it was awesome. BYOB, cute, fun. Not any more.

Sad.

Anyway, the food was OK. Meena had:
- chicken pad thai (sorta spicy)
- seafood dumplings

Alec had:
- bangkok spice with mixed seafood

Again, the food was fine but it just wasn't the same. Thank goodness Rogue Wave outpaced expectations and left us totally happy at the end of the night.
